A semi open-world game, where players can create supernatural character to combat the forces of darkness which threaten the human world.
The original game, set in the modern world. This ran for fifteen seasons, with each one running over the course of a year. This added up to around forty games a season, all having a central plot focusing around a ‘big bad’ (season boss). To flesh out the story I would create side missions, random encounter charts and a few bottle episodes to release the tension at the appropriate points in the story. How the players approached both the main story and side missions would create a branching narrative, with different ways to approach the final conflict. To develop this, I took inspiration from existing narrative structures in games such as Mass Effect and Oblivion.
