As with other titles I had created, I really wanted to get the personality of the movies in the story and reflect this in the gameplay. I developed a card system for the game, each having a name and skill that incorporated the feel of the Evil Dead series. This was run as a live game and the house was converted into a play-space that the players could wander around freely. The most fun mechanic of this game was how the players became possessed and turned into Deadites. One player became the first Deadite early on, but did not reveal this fact to the other players, instead they manipulated the group to split up into pairs and explore the house. Once alone with another player they broke them down until the demon could posses them, which meant there were two Deadites. This turned the whole experience into something resembling John Carpenters The Thing, resulting in one player fleeing from the entire player cast, trying desperately to survive until dawn.
